First I was given paperwork to fill out, standard stuff about past flying history, a blueprint of my resume pretty much (for their insurance I guess). Then I met with the lady running the Scheduling, Gerri, and she talked generally about the company, history, operations and expansion plans. They are starting shuttle service into ATL from AHN, MCN, LZU and surrounding cities not served by an airline currently. It will be Scheduled Part 135, not 121 as I had been told... oh well. They use Navajo Panthers, have 5 getting 10 more. I told her about me, my flying history etc. Then the Owner, Robbie, came in and he did a quick review of my logbooks, filled in blanks on my paperwork, and we talked some more. This was totally informal, and very comfortable. After a break Robbie and I did the simulator, PC based, but he was just looking for familiarity of flight profiles. FOs do not get paid, and CAs start at about $32,000. I took the job, waiting for my CA checkride. Heard they got their financing in order, I just want to fly again... (wife wants me to make $$$ - yeah right, like that's gonna happen). |
