Phone call after sending in my application. The instructor I talked to answered any questions I had and scheduled my in person interview at their headquarters in Addison, TX.
At the interview - Met with the Chief Pilot. Extremely nice guy, very helpful and open about the company and the flying they do. They do a typical one on one interview, very laid back just to get a feel for you and see if you'll be a good fit. Asked where I would be interested in going (another base had opened since I did the phone interview). Routes all over the country.
I did the flight portion with a company instructor. The Caravan is easy to fly, just like a big 206, and whoever you fly with will walk you through everything you need to know. Depart out of Addison, maneuver around a bit, and shoot an ILS and a localizer back course before coming back.
Was offered my choice of base when I came back and given a class date. |
