Pilot Interview Profile:
Started at 8 am and given the video and intruduced to the interviewers and introduced our selves. There was 5 of us to start off. I was the only one to have no turbine experience. All the other gouges are right on in what they do. One guy was sent home early because of paper work problems, I think. So come prepared with everything doen and multiple copies of everything.

Tech
I did tech first, started off with with some talking about my background, helped me relax. Then came some questions on DPs and STARs. I struggled a little on this since I dont have much expierence with them. Then came app chart and the back of the approach chart for T/O off stuff and given a meter and taf to decide if we could. Then came the low altitude chart and all that stuff. Previous gouges cover all the stuff they did. A little airport diagram stuff, pretty simple. Then asked me a few questions about the last airplane in my log book. The mighty C-172!!!

Sim
Next was sim. Pretty simple, given a sheet with what speed and what call outs. The sim guy tells you what he expects and when to tell him when to fly. This was very simple. Previous gouges cover all this perfect.

HR
Went over a few questions. Why AE? What makes a profesional pilot? Why should we hire you? What would your previous employer say about you? Have any buddies flying here? The rest was going through paper work and double checking my airline apps stuff.

I was expecting worse since this was my first interview for any flying job that Ive ever had. Just read the gouges and go over the questions and you will be fine.

This interview was a fun experience but very stressful at the same time. Started off at 8am by collecting our logbooks and putting on a video about Eagle. Explained how the day would go and handed out a sim profile for you to study. Very friendly and did their best to put you at ease.

The sim is a BE-58 and is very touchy I suggest you fly some type of frasca before you go just to see how touchy they can be. Heres a general breakdown of the HR and Tech portions.

Pilot Interview Profile:
I have to say, the gouge on this site is incredibly accurate. One of the guys even joked about us being so familiar with the way the day goes. All of the HR questions were right on, all of the Tech questions were right on- except, know how to really ask yourself scenario questions for approaches and DPs. When will you be at what altitude...
Sim was by far, the easiest part of the day. I flew Microsoft FS a few times and this sim was so easy. He tells you a power setting and it gives you 120 knots and 700 fpm on the ILS!

Here is my advice for you...
Some people say that you should try to get to know everyone else. Be very careful with this! When you are in the holding tank- Don't get distracted. It got to the point where I was trying to keep myself focused, and guys were asking me about flying stories, and I had to ignore them after a few minutes!Save the chit chat for the ride to the airport. The guys that talked the most in my group, were the guys who didn't get the offer. Out of 7, one went home before 9am,so 4/7 got the offer. Great group of management and after it was over, great personalities.

Said they plan to hire 40 per month the rest of this year so get your stuff in! I'm excited to start here. Good luck to you!

Pilot Interview Profile:
- Received an e mail 2 days prior to the review of my application. ( make sure you update it then and that all your time match between your logbook and airlineapps )
- Received after the review, an e mail by a recruiter asking to call in order to schedule my interview. I was given the choice in the date.
- Reeived an e mail with all the packets to be filled out prior to your interview. You will also need various documents including ALL of your transcripts, ALL driving records for states you have lived in for more than 6 months, listed on your application, ALL checkrides tabbed in you logbook with ALL the endorsements.
- One week prior, I received an e-mail with my travel information as a Non-Rev ticket and also a recommended hotel to book your room at. ( the candlewood at $75 - It's a good place )
- The day you are traveling to DFW, send an e mail to confirm you will be attending the interview, just as a courtesy. The hotel shuttle will pick you up from the Airport. You will find a variety of fast food places within walking distance from the hotel.
- The morning of the interview, make sure you have everything ready and show up downstairs around 7.15. the shuttle will leave around 7.30
- You will then watch a video about Eagle. A little outdated as the president interviewed is not the current one and they show a lot of saabs 340.
- you will meet with 2 recruiters, as a group, and they will discuss life at eagle while your logbook are being reviewed.
- Then start the three steps of the interview :

You can start by any of the Tech, H.R or Sim check ; all very straight forward :

1) Tech
It can be any questions about metars and taf, takeoff and landing minimums, departure and arrival procedures, approach plates, IFR enroute charts and numbers pertaining to your current airplane. All of it set up in some form of a senario. I didnt have any questions about oxygen or duty time. I think if you answer everything right without any hesitation, the recruiter will not waste his time asking 1000 questions. Nothing tricky.

2) H.R
Most of the time will be to verify all of your paperwork. But you might be asked casual questions in the meantime so think about what your saying. You will be asked a few official questions after. It could include what is your strengh, your weakness, when would you take the controls from your captain... you get the idea

3) Sim
Just as straight forward and the instructor is very friendly and helpfull. Departure straigh out, climb to 3000, vector to intercept a radial, given a hold ( btw, you can draw it if you need ), flew the entry got vectored for an ils with a flight director, went missed then did it again without the F/D

Once you are done, they will let you know very quickly and send you on your way home.
Best of luck !

Pilot Interview Profile:
Dear fellow pilot,

I had my interview with AE just recently, and It was very laid back, they made all of feel very welcome, hospitality was just so much. Real friendly environment. All the gouge is posted here right down to every detail. Study it up. One thing DON'T LIE ON APP, TELL THE TRUTH, (speeding ticket, check ride failure---etc.) no explaining during the interview, you will be escorted out of the door before you have chance to explain so don't risk it.
