Pilot Interview Profile:
The gouge is right on and the interview was great. First there was sick people that started off and by the end of the day 3 were offered the pre-employment.

Their are 3 parts to the interview which was HR. Technical, and Sim. Hr was general questions like usual and the tech was like MORA, MOCA, airport diagrams, etc.. The sim was the frasca baron and that was actually pretty cool glass cockpit. If you fly any airplane you will be fine in the sim.

The process was great and the people at the company were really nice and waiting for the captain review board. Good luck to everyone else

Answered "yes" based on passing the first phase of the interview process. Still have Pilot review board and medical to go.

All previous gouges were right on, so I won't duplicate. My only suggestion is: MAKE SURE YOUR "MORNING PAPERWORK" AND YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION MATCH!!!!!

There were 6 candidates in my group. TWO were sent home in the first 15 minutes becuase there were discrepancies between the online application and their handwritten paperwork. Seems to be that people are missing the question on AirlineApps.com about "Have you failed a checkride?" You should note ANY failed checkride, even one of your first ratings, or your initial CFI checkride. Don't let this be the thing that sends you home.

Secondly, make sure you have good instrument skills and are IFR current. A third candidate was sent home after busting on the sim portion. The Baron 58-G1000 is easy to fly and there is no "funny stuff" thrown at you, you're given the profile first thing in the AM. KNOW HOW TO ENTER A HOLD!!!

Eagle was a great place to interview at and seems to be a great company to work for.
Everyone was extremely friendly, down to earth and I look forward to flying with their crew.

A few thing about the interview;
1. Come prepared, don't waste their time or yours.
2. The gouges are here, study and learn. (they are correct)
3. Wouldn't hurt to get time in a G1000.
4. Know all parts of Jepp plates.
5. O2 requirements, reporting points, 121 regs (basic)
6. HR is straight forward. We all know the questions types they'll ask, but be friendly and honest.
7. Be honest.
8. Smile
9. Relax, if you are what they need and want, you'll get the job. I don't think they are looking for fighter pilots, type ratings or specialist. They are looking for someone who will respect the rules, the company and someone they could spend four days with and not want to strangle.
10. Be honest.
* Like others, I listed "don't know" based on the capt review board.

Pilot Interview Profile:
Process is only one day - you get called back for the medical after completion of the review board.

Update on the sim, its a Frasca/Elite Igate Baron 58 - Frasca visuals and Elite panel, it works just the like standard G1000 with GFC700 autopilot - USE IT - obviously as previously posted use standard callouts - they are looking at you to fly and twisting knobs and everything else is a PLUS! Use the yaw damper. Again profile is as previously posted - Takeoff, radial tracking - holding - 2 approaches - one with F/D one without it - then a non graded landing - make it look good.

Tech is as previously stated in the March - January gouges - no changes - Jepp approach briefing - reading a RNAV SID and transition STAR - low alt chart reading

HR - Same as before - no change - they just read from a set of canned questions.

After the interview - those who make it are given lunch and then assigned the afternoon paper handover and then finger printed, and asked to fill out driver history and other forms. Given letter of conditional offer - we got a taxi ride to the airport, provided this is only when it is raining to go to the airport. Otherwise we were told to expect a short bus ride. Overall fun and enjoyable process.

I was called about a month before to schedule the interview date. They send out an email with a lot of paperwork attached to it. Get all the paperwork filled out before you go. There are three different packets, "Morning Paperwork" "Background Paperwork" and "PRIA Part 121/135 previous history" The "morning paperwork" will be taken up before you start the actual interview sessions. The other two are only taken up if you make it through the interview.

I was given a flight to DFW on AE the day before. Stayed at the Candlewood Suites...very nice hotel. Took the 730AM shuttle to AE Headquarters. There were six of us in all going for the interview that day. Instructor backgrounds mostly, a furlough and previous 135 experience made up the bunch. Three interview sessions: HR, Tech, and Sim.

HR
A lot of paperwork is done here, that took up the vast majority of the time. The interviewer looked at the school I graduated from so we talked about that for a little bit. Very little time on the actual interview questions. Questions asked were general: Why AE? Why you? One word to describe yourself? Trait you wish you could change? There is a list of questions he can ask, but won't ask all of them. He does have to write down your answers for the review board.

Tech
Previous gouges were right on. The tech is all scenario based. Previous Airplane questions: MTOW? Max Ramp Weight? Total Fuel? Battery Voltage? What does MEA, MOCA, MORA stand for? Decode a METAR/TAF Airport diagram: T/O dist available? Landing dist available? T/O minimums? When do you need an alternate? Fuel required? Departure: Asked about altitude and speed restrictions. If programing into the FMS what altitude would be the final? Enroute Chart: Where is Class B, C, and D airspace? What is this (pointed to a green MORA)? Why is this one magenta? Arrival: Altitude and speed restrictions again. Approach: Minimums, can we shoot this approach with the given METAR? (RVR governs!) What if weather goes below minimums after the FAF? What is the "V" on the approach plate? What does it mean? Can you descend before it? after it? Scenarios: Open maintenance write up, can we go? Captain got plastered last night, what do you do?

Simulator:
Barron G1000 with 180 degree wrap around. You don't have to be a G1000 expert to fly this thing...the sim instructor will help ya out as much as he can. Flew out of KFWA runway 23, runway heading to 3K, then left turn to 040 intercept the 180 radial, hold over FWA then vectors to ILS 5 with Flight Director, then go missed. Set up on final for same ILS with no flight director. Tolerances are Commercial PTS, if you get off just say correcting.

Don't treat this process like a checkride, very laid back! I was really impressed at how professional yet down-to-earth everyone was. Eagle is expecting a lot of movement with the 22 new CRJs, and the age 65 rule is about to catch up on itself, was implemented almost 5 years ago. All in all a great company. I put don't know because I was given a pre-offer of employment depending on the captain review board. Of the 6, only 2 made it. If you study, you won't have a problem.
